Not actually they're the best investment I ever made, the hate is a nonissue for the most part. But there is one thing i despise and it's their HEAT! Hello, how have you all been since i made a full on post that wasn't short-form? Probably awhile (apparently just a few days ago. Oops.) Anyways I am working on my little game Anti-Citizen more, it is a dark horror FPS game where everyone in it is an awful person and that's all I can say for now. This is a little snapshot picture of 2 characters Kitty and Rachel, and it's probably the best way you can sum up their dysfunctional, abusive, codependent relationship. I was laughing too hard at the vid i posted earlier that it was stuck in my head ever since i remembered it. 
this is a new snapshot. A character named Rhys who will likely be a school-shooter. This is only a concept I have not developed on much yet but i hope it's still interesting to see nonetheless, i am going for a "grimey late teens stoner" kind of appearance. But obviously, it's hard to with the uniform design, maybe i'll make it more fluent soon and develop on it ! There is more I have to show when I am able to. :>
I am trying to go for a color-coding format. Right now, with the characters I have revealed it goes,
Kitty - Dark Blue
Rachel - Pink
Rhys - Yellow

I constantly think about this fucking video so much. My favorite part is that it was an OFFICIAL TEST ANIMATION FOR RAYMAN 4. One of the most hyped platformers in history had THIS be it's test work. There's a ton of really interesting history about Rayman in general but this just takes the fucking cake for me. Oh my god.

2024-06-02 Finally beat Rayman 2 a couple days ago
One of the greatest games ever made. Perfectly blends horror-style mood and atmosphere with dark comedy, cartoony art styles and the whole European dark-fantasy aesthetic fits it perfectly (definitely feels like a french game LOL). I especially like it's usage of liminality to paint a depressing picture of the world, where you have to go through empty forests and plains that haven't been taken over without any music or sound. It also knows EXACTLY when to scare you like in the Jano segment or cemetary segment.
The PS1 cover is also incredible (but it's the worst version) and the original PC and DC covers are pretty great too. The subversion and slight existentialism of the ending fits well too. I hope Rayman 3 is as good as this. From what i've heard it's a transition from the thriller-action style of Rayman 2 into more of dark comedy, but it still keeps the whimsical feeling intact and the same liminal dystopia style of 2. The EU box art of 3 is also really good too, Rayman's always been a victim of localisation in that regard, the US box art of 3 is kind of hilarious.
(that being said the rayman 3 ENG dub isn't actually awful, but a lot of things flew over the radar and the delivery is much closer to Rayman 2's voices in the original French version. The characters also have a very Americanised accent in the English dubs, which to me comes off a little weird when they're rather obviously characters designed by and for the French)

I was catching up with a lot of new music (relistening to a lot of Kanye's discography, Blanket too, Yakui The Maid and a few others. Big list being added to Atmospheric Soundz soon by the way) and I couldn't help but notice that it's just, utterly so weird.
The Consistent hybrid of Shoegaze & Grunge There's a lot of artists that call themselves a mix of Grunge and Shoegaze and can't decide on which one. Most notably Fleshwater, a spinoff of Vein.fm which is grunge and shoegaze mixed, but also bands such as Blanket who do the same thing. There's also Alcest who call themselves Shoegaze too, but to me they sound more alternative metal. ALCEST IS PEAK MUSIC BTW. Additionally, the genre "shoegaze", when I think about it, is quite a vague term these days (but not in a necessarily bad way).
Rap Rock's Resurfacement A lot of hip-hop artists i've listened to tend to mix the sounds of rock into their music a lot, (it really makes me wonder why people call rap the enemy of rock or whatever...). I picked up on this listening to Kids See Ghosts again. Kanye and Cudi mixed up the sounds of almost Pink Floyd-ey psychedelic and progressive rock for a lot of the songs on it, (most notably Fire but pretty much every song on it sounds like that) while having consistent hiphop style progression and rapping present. The same can be said for Lil Peep with his mix of grunge-rock and Cudi's influence from Kurt Cobain, and Kanye's MBDTF is a mix of progressive rock and hiphop. It's an interesting thing i've picked up.
What the fuck does "Metalcore" even mean!? I genuinely wonder this a lot. Of course, it's hardcore punk + Metal, which makes me imagine the sounds of Beartooth or A Day to Remember, which makes sense, but there's also a lot of artists that don't sound very metalcore-ey to me at all. Still can't understand why Blanket can be considered Metalcore or even a lot of Landmvrks (at least their first album...)

I've had to burn a bridge 2 times these past few months over this expectation. What the fuck is up with people these days? Yeah, just disregard the possibillity that someone could have any form of distraction disorder ie ADD, ADHD, Autism, etc. Instead, the expectation to reply to messages immediately is always there to these people? What the fuck are you so excited about? Excited that i'll finally respond to your cartoon skeleton hotdog meme? What the hell? Well for one of them it came down to the fact that, despite me responding to them nearly each time, they got mad that I didn't respond to their album they sent me (which is ironic because i actually just didn't get the notification). I just don't get people like this. The reality is once you're over the age of high-school, people responding to you doesn't matter all that much. They'll respond to you any time. Immediately, 5 hours later, all a day in the life. Maybe this is some regional barrier, i'm French and we're kind of famous for breakin' the rules and disregarding authority so maybe it's just me that didn't grow up with the expectation and are suddenly facing it now? It was pretty good! i've only gotten through episode 1 and half of episode 2 but wow, what i've seen of it is just incredible! the cinematography and style really sink in the dystopian world and the protagonist is pretty great. a lot of incest jokes, but hey i'll laugh at anything dirty and offensive so I was into it.
Super Mario Wonder
A bit overhyped but I really liked it regardless, People aren't lying, it's fucking trippy, but it definitely still feels like a Mario Game at the end of the day, yanno? Well, I guess you can't really improve on something so basic. It's nice we can FINALLY play as actual female characters that aren't Toadette though, and Peach and Daisy are great examples of that.

Ever since I got my new Bravo 15, It's been so obnoxiously hard to readjust. No, seriously. I keep thinking "oh man i wanna play that- nah it'd take too long to load", or "oh my pc can't run that anymore", but it can. Additionally also just small hobbies such as drawing, editing, etc I immediately get scared of doing because I keep thinking im on my old laptop. Wow...

good god. Good Morning Spider by Sparklehorse is such a masterpiece of an album. It really hits me hard especially knowing the story behind it (that he was an addict to overdosing and was put into the paramedics at the time of the album), it just has such a layer of tragedy of it. Also I thought he was a girl when i was a kid -_-;. Damn you GNC vocals (LOL) So I thought Pig for a long time was about gender dysphoria. Doesn't change how much I love it though.
On that note, The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, they are seriously masterpieces of rock aren't they? And i'm very excited for that new BOA album too (I loved Serial Experiments Lain and everything on Twilight.) There's also news of my favorite fellow Frenchmen Gojira (i still love that name) releasing a new album, which gets me very excited. Though i haven't listened to their discog as much as I should.

2024-04-24 Land of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni) has finally ended...
I don't really know how to feel about this. It's my favorite Japanese comic ever, definitely still one of my favorite comics in general, and it got me through so much, and it's gone. Cinnabar really did feel like I was just put into a comic. The fact he was manipulated and forced to hate the only person who cared about him only to have to betray them to become genuinely appreciated...wow...and dont' forget the amount of suffering Phos had to endure. Goodbye Houseki no Kuni, i'll miss you so much.

Windows 11 fucking sucks.
Well, your favorite French Sadist made the switch. Got it because i finally bought a new laptop, not just that, a gaming laptop with an RTX 4060. Crazy stuff! I should be having fun, but instead im losing my mind over how fucking awful this goddamn thing is.
OneDrive is Bullshit | it was already annoying at first, but now it's legitimately infuriating. It steals the "Documents, Pictures, Videos" folders as their own, meaning everything you do in them immediately sinks to OneDrive. It got to a point where I flat out just killed all of what was in my OneDrive and unsynced it and made my own Documents and Pictures folders.
All Style, No Substance | I like Windows 7. I like how pretty it is, how usable it is, especially it's style. but OH MY GOD! STYLE ISN'T JUST WHAT MAKES A FUCKING OPERATING SYSTEM! Windows 11 looks appealing looking, no doubt about it, a big improvement from the flat minimalist look from Windows 10. Shit opens too low, you can't put the taskbar in any place you want nor minimise it Windows Vista style...Seriously? That's actual nonsense! It's MY operating system you fat, Burger chomping, Yankee fucks!
"It's Your Computer, Easiest To Use" | No you don't. For one, you're forced to link it to your MicroBraps account, which DIRECTLY is how they OneDriveLock you. If OneDrive is enabled, it locks most of what you're hoarding under a storage limit and constantly pesters you to give it more time. It constantly gives you ads out the ass and is filled with telemetry unless you do a little trolling with Winaero Tweaker, Good fucking god! What is the standard for a release these days! Oh, and not to mention, they're actively making Windows 10 unsupported now. Windows 10 is supposed to be unsupported by 2025, but when I tried to install Windows 10 on this laptop it broke because the drivers were hardcoded to only support Windows 10, and the stock drivers didn't work. That's actual slagwork. Fuck you MicroBraps.
I guess i'm still thrilled to have a new PC though, but this is just frustraitng. I suppose i'll get used to it like every other tech invention of the modern day. I hope the Switch 2's good though.

Oh oh oh, it's time for something very tragic, it's time for a website overhaul! Yes I know it must be sad to see the ChatGPT ridden, barely functional website go, it's already making me tear up! It almost makes me cry as much as seeing a raped 2 year old! Well, remove the rape part of course. But it's basically the same, I mean it only lived for 2 weeks. Anyways, it's doing really well for itself now. There's a banner featuring the story of the anti-citizens (a group of awful people mostly from Europe enslaved by Americans, you'll learn more about that later). It's also drenched in pretty reds and blacks as usual, there will be some orange and dark blues too (i like those colors a lot.) Anyways, Helldivers 2 and Persona 3: Reload, they just look stellar don't they? Also soon enough the entire website's being translated into French so have fun reading it while you can. =3=
